Walk Softly and Carry a Big Stick.

It's hard to believe. I can barely believe it myself. Something strange is afoot this week.

No, really. I did.

I seriously haven't scrapped a thing since before Christmas. My Herma adhesive and crop-o-dile have been busy gathering dust in my craft room for months. This week though I felt a bit of a scrapbooking vibe and decided to go with it (I think it must be the lighter evenings, they put me in much more of scrappy happy mood).

It's not just me though. It seems other people are catching the springtime scrappy vibe too. Long may it continue I say.

So, here's the LO that's resulted from the new found scrappiness. Photos of Ewan from last summer when we went for a walk (whilst Grace was out with Nanny) and he managed to find his favourite ever thing to find on long walks..... a big ol' stick! (What is it with small boys and big sticks? Or indeed any sticks, and rocks, they love the rocks too).

The title is something that has always stuck with my from the days of doing my degree (part of which was in American Studies). Roosevelt's "Walk softly and carry a big stick" speech was used in a module the I studied and for some reason it alway stuck in my head. It's also lodged in there because it's paraphrased by the amazing Jack Nicholson in one of my all time fave movies. Walk softly and carry an armoured tank division, he always says.

That's probably my scrapping quota reached for the year!! Hopefully the summer will bring more mojo (and more photos ops!).
